Senior Lead, Project Management

LinkedIn

For over 15 years, I have been leading infrastructure projects. Initially, these were telecommunication projects, but for more than 10 years, they have primarily been LAN and WAN network projects. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to manage both small and larger projects involving network infrastructure replacement, as well as more significant and satisfying ones like building network infrastructure for a retail bank and preparing and maintaining network infrastructure during a major sports event at a stadium. Thanks to the experience I have gained, I have come to understand what it means to work in different environments, various approaches to team management, and different project management methodologies. Although there are now very few things that can surprise me in project management, the deciding and least predictable factor remains the people we work with. They can surprise us both positively and negatively.
Collaboration with people is a key aspect of project management for me, and I dedicate most of my attention to ensuring that both the current tasks and the project's goals are clear to all project participants. Another important aspect for me is enabling team members to accomplish the tasks set before them. Differences stem from varying levels of knowledge and experience; sometimes, someone needs further training, other times, motivation. Motivational factors can also differ significantly. Piecing together such "puzzles" into a well-functioning team is a great challenge in itself, and observing the results of a well-operating team is a pleasure.
I would like to share my experiences, both good and bad. We usually learn best from mistakes, but many of these mistakes can be avoided. And if learning from mistakes is the only option, it is better to learn from others' mistakes rather than your own.

What will you gain from working with me as a mentee?
During the meetings, I provide the opportunity to discuss project management using waterfall, agile, and hybrid approaches, as well as communication within the project, creating schedules, and planning for teams in both the short and long term.
