Americo-Pinto-koleczko
Americo Pinto Chair at PMO Global Alliance, Mentor III edycji Programu Mentoringowego

Mentoring is a wonderful relationship that is not just about taking, but also about giving. This program is not only an opportunity to confront your ideas and solutions with people who have achieved success in their field, but also to work through the problems you are facing. Changing a job, choosing a life path or a difficult decision to make are just some of them. Talking to people who have been down the path you are on now is an eye-opening experience

1. Just try it. You can always quit or ask for a step back, such as changing mentors. 2. You won't know if it's worth it if you don't try. 3. Approach with openness, at the beginning nobody knows the detailed plan - let yourself be positively surprised and take you on a journey inside yourself. 4. Persevere and evaluate in hindsight - you decide your own duration and needs. 5. Trust

Mentoring is an extraordinary relationship. You take as much as you want and give as much as you can. Knowing that both parties are doing it voluntarily for their own development is extremely freeing. This is what allowed me to build a strong mentoring relationship based on trust, honesty and openness. As a result, both sides have born amazing rewards that we didn't expect at the beginning

Emilia Kucharska - kółko
Emilia Kucharska Participant of the 3rd edition of the Mentoring Program

The PMI Monitoring Program has been one of the best journeys I have had in my professional life! In fact, I applied to the Programe without a rigidly defined goal. During the first sessions with the Mentor, we verified my expectations together and clarified a clear goal to participate in the Programme. This was achieved through consultations, questions and answers, case studies, and homework assignments. I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Program! I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone who is ready for a ``mini business psychotherapy`` experience in a very pleasant atmosphere!

Marzena Smol
Marzena Smol Professor at the Institute of Mineral and Energy Economy of the Polish Academy of Sciences ,Participant of the 4th edition of the Mentoring Program

As a young person just starting my career in project management, I had a lot of concerns at the beginning about whether I would manage. In addition, I wondered if meetings with a mentor could help me since I didn't have much experience yet. My fears were unnecessary. PMI's Mentor Program allowed me to meet a great mentor who, during the meetings, showed me tools useful in getting to know myself. The mentoring sessions have improved my confidence and assertiveness, which are essential in project management. The time spent with a mentor is invaluable, especially for people who want to understand themselves and their strengths/weaknesses better. I would recommend the Mentoring Program to anyone, even young people who think there is no point in attending such meetings yet due to their lack of experience.

This mentoring programme is an incredibly interesting idea for broadening your experience, addressing problems that not everyone has the chance to solve at work, or gaining a different point of view on problematic topics. The entire process, supported by incredibly intelligent and experienced mentors, is carried out carefully and with complete trust, providing the perfect groundwork for personal development. Highly recommended to everyone, whether less or more ambitious!

Mentoring is a journey, where the mentor is like a compass, pointing the way for mentee - a traveler who is heading towards his goals and dreams

What is mentoring?

Mentoring is a process, similar to embarking on a journey with an experienced guide through unfamiliar terrain. It is a relationship based on trust, openness, and empathy, where the mentor supports the mentee in developing their potential and overcoming challenges by sharing their knowledge, skills, and perspective.

A mentor possesses extensive experience and knowledge in a specific field or area and is willing to share them with others.

A mentee is a person who seeks support, guidance, and inspiration from someone more experienced for personal and professional development.

Why you should participate?

Benefits of being a Mentor:

  • You will build a reputation as a person who is not only successful but also eager to help others by sharing knowledge and supporting them in their striving to achieve their goals.
  • You will establish relationships in which you will feel what it is like to be a “master.”
  • You will have the opportunity to influence the future of your field of expertise or organization by passing forward your experience and values to others.
  • You will have the opportunity to reflect on your own experience and achievements from a different point of view.
  • You will achieve personal fulfillment and satisfaction by seeing how your mentee is progressing thanks to your support.
  • You will expand your contact network with people who may be “the key” to future opportunities.

Benefits of being a Mentee:

  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts from your area and benefit from their experience.
  • You will gain new perspectives on your skills and potential and have opportunities to develop them through a series of challenges and goal-setting activities.
  • You will receive personalized support in identifying and achieving your goals.
  • You will have the opportunity to speak freely about your problems, challenges, and doubts in a secure environment and identify ways to overcome them.
  • You will establish relationships with interesting people who share your commitment to self-improvement.
  • You will gain priceless knowledge, develop self-confidence, and broaden your horizons by exploring new perspectives on your problems and goals.
